We developed a site selection tool to assist the Denver Regional Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Fund in locating affordable housing in the transit corridors. The TOD Fund was established by the Urban Land Conservancy, Enterprise Community Partners, the City & County of Denver and several other investors to support the creation and preservation of more than 1,000 affordable housing units through strategic property acquisition in current and future transit corridors.
Shift developed the TOD Site Selection Tool as we were doubling the size of the already successful Denver TOD Fund. With our expansion to the entire region came the need for a data informed approach to investing in a portfolio of sites that would create opportunities for families over the next decade. Shift’s tool continues to be a great resource for us to understand the current and future environments for families living within the neighborhoods we serve.
