Shift developed the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) mapping tool to help Get Ahead Colorado and Tax Help Colorado identify and prioritize areas across the state where its EITC public information campaign and free tax assistance program would have the greatest impact on low-income families. Using the tool, Get Ahead Colorado and Tax Help Colorado have been making data-informed, strategic decisions regarding where to focus its EITC outreach efforts and locate its free tax preparation sites.
The EITC mapping tool provides us with the data we need to refine our strategies and ensure that we are reaching the families who can most benefit from our resources.
